Aya Nassereddine, PhD

Aya earned her Ph.D. in Biophysics from the CINaM laboratory in France in 2019, focusing on surface patterning strategies for investigating T-cell adhesion and actin organization. She was awarded the ‘’Jeune chercheur doctorant’’ fellowship in 2020, supporting her role in launching a startup dedicated to nano-substrate fabrication, where she worked as an R&D engineer with backing from SATT Sud-Est.

Currently, Aya is a postdoctoral researcher in the Horsley Lab, exploring the mechanical regulation of skin fibrosis through mouse and tissue culture models. Beyond her research, she finds joy in CrossFit, running, tennis, and baking sourdough bread.
