Aya Nassereddine got her PhD in Biophysics from CINaM laboratory (France) in 2019, working on surface patterning strategies to dissect T-cell adhesion and actin organization.
Her multiple interest and background helped her to win the “Young Innovative Doctors 2020” of the south region in France for one year as a research engineer, in order to open a startup for fabrication nano-substrates.
Currently, she joined the MCDB department at Yale University as a postdoc in the Horsley Lab, she will be working on the mechanical regulation of skin fibrosis using mouse and tissue culture models.
Aya believes in interdisciplinary research and its need to better understanding our studies. “Two heads are better than one” as they say.
Outside of research, Aya is an outdoorsy person, she enjoys running, biking and hiking.
